Channel 7 recently showcased the C-POEM procedure performed by Dr Niroshan Muwanwella at Royal Perth Hospital. Dr Muwanwella is one of only two endoscopists in Australia who regularly perform this minimally invasive treatment for cricopharyngeal dysphagia. This innovative work forms part of his PhD research into advanced third-space endoscopy and improving outcomes in upper GI motility disorders.
